This is an older machine that still remains as one of the more popular models due to the number of routines you can perform in such a compact design.

A newer model was released as the G1S, however, there only appears to be some minor changes that were made.

The color is among the obvious.  The G1S is silver and black while the EXM1500S is white and black.  There are a few cosmetic upgrades in the frame design and padding.  Other distinguishing features include rounded press arms on the G1S in addition to rounded plate edges.

Read more about the G1S in our Body Solid G1S review.

By looking at the EXM1500S, it may not appear to offer much in terms of strength training but once you sit in the padded seat, you’ll realize just how multifaceted it really is.

Features

It has five different stations utilizing a four pulley system that targets the upper body, lower body, and your mid-section.

Each station allows you to perform over 20 different exercises that target every major muscle group.

High Pulley Station: The high pulley station allows you to perform pull downs, tricep extensions, and more.

Mid Pulley Station: Designed to allow you to perform ab crunches, kickbacks, and a few others.

Low Pulley Station: Target your back with some rowing exercises or strengthen your arms with some curls.  Get creative with upright rows, shrugs, or how about some leg abductions?

Chest Press: This station effectively targets your chest and with a little creativity, you may be able to target other areas.

Leg Station: You may not be able to do any leg press or squats but you’ll certainly burn your legs with some leg curls and extensions.  The thick padding and ergonomic design allows you to work out your legs comfortably and effectively.
